Reprint Rights

Reprint rights for plays published by Dramatists Play Service, Inc. are held by the primary agent. To request reprint rights, please send an inquiry to the primary agent, whom you will find listed on the copyright page of the acting edition. Your inquiry should include the following information: title and author; the text you're requesting rights for; the name of the publisher; whether the book will be published in paperback or hard cover; the approximate number of pages; the initial print run; the list price; and the territory of distribution (e.g., North America, worldwide). On occasion, primary agents will request that the Play Service handle reprint rights. In the event we are requested to do so, you will receive a contract from us.

Whether reprint rights are granted by the primary agent or the Play Service, the following notice should appear either on the general copyright page of the volume or either immediately preceding or on the particular page where the text from the play begins:

Copyright © [YEAR], [AUTHOR]

CAUTION: The scene from [TITLE] included in this volume is reprinted by permission of the author and [primary agent or Dramatists Play Service, Inc.]. The English language stock and amateur stage performance rights in this Play are controlled exclusively by Dramatists Play Service, Inc., 440 Park Avenue South, New York, NY 10016. No professional or nonprofessional performance of the Play may be given without obtaining, in advance, the written permission of Dramatists Play Service, Inc., and paying the requisite fee. Inquiries concerning all other rights should be addressed to [primary agent with address].
