THE STORY: GOODBYE, HOWARD, is set in a North Carolina hospital, where three aging (and rich) spinster sisters wait for news of their brother’s death. They are worried about how their mother (who must be 100) will react to the sad tidings an eventuality which is ameliorated by the intrusion of a brash young man who seems to lack the proper respect for the aged, and the dying.
