Jerry Chase See play(s)
Jerry Chase was born on September 3, 1936, in Denver, Colorado. His mother, Mary Coyle Chase, a journalist and playwright, was the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play HARVEY. His father, Robert L. Chase, was for many years Associate Editor of “The Rocky Mountain News.” Jerry attended the University of Colorado, where he met his wife, Mary Mullenax. They were married in 1959 in Boulder, Colorado. They have four children and eighteen grandchildren. Jerry’s work as an actor eventually took them to New York City where they settled and raised their family. Performing credits include theatre work at the Pasadena Playhouse in California, the Barter Theatre in Virginia, Woodstock in Vermont, and the Off Center Theatre Company in New York City, a company co-founded by Chase. Other acting credits include the films “Deadly Companion,” “House of Seven Gables,” and “Au Pair Chocolat.” Jerry and his wife reside in Bloomingburg, New York.
